Busses are now free to cross the borders of Mexico not only during the week, but also on the Weekends. Since the implementation of “Gamma Ray Screening”, a new security process, this is compared to an X-Ray for busses to detect contraband and illegal immigrants.  The rules are not prejudice, as it applies even to Mexican busses. The Mexican government through the Mexican customs have been implementing their modernization project; a project that enables them to beef up security. At first in the initial change, busses were not allowed to enter on weekends, but now they can. Public Relations officer Marcel Miranda of the Mexican Embassy says that busses will be able to leave at any given time; however, they must enter by 7 pm during the week and by 5pm on weekends.
