Police have arrested 2 Roaring creek men for the Friday night murder of 29 yr old Keith Sambula.  Phillip Reyes and Jack Noel Escarpeta were jointly charged for Sambula’s brutal chopping.  Around 10:45 on Friday night, police say that they were called out to the river bank in the Hattie Ville area of Roaring Creek Village where they saw Sambula’s body lying face down with a large chop from the right side of his cheek to the lower part of his neck.  Sambula, a resident of Punta Gorda was socializing with friends in the Hattie Ville area of Roaring Creek when a misunderstanding ensued among them.  Sambula, they say produced a gun and fired some shots; after which the other men attacked him and in the process he was chopped and then thrown on the river bank in the same area.  A post mortem examination says that Sambula died as a result of trauma shock, massive brain damage, and head trauma because of the chop to the face and neck.  We’ll be right back.
